At the onset of the contract, the broad aim of the survey was to acquire data representative of the geology, bathymetry and ecology of Tremadog Bay and surrounding areas. Osiris Projects had been contracted by Geotek Ltd, on behalf of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), to undertake a programme of shallow marine survey work as part of the SEA 6 initiative. This work was predominantly focussed on the Tremadog bay area of the Irish Sea as part of the inshore sector of the SEA 6 region. Offshore Survey and Engineering (OSAE) performed survey work in the offshore sector of the SEA 6 region.
