The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 placed a duty on the National Assembly for Wales to prepare a spatial plan. The Government of Wales Act 2006 further embeds the Wales Spatial Plan as a policy the Welsh Ministers must now agree and keep under review. For the purposes of the 2004 Act, this Update constitutes the Wales Spatial Plan. This dataset details the extent and location of boundaries for each spatial plan area across Wales.
