Welsh Government: Assisted Areas Objectives (3rd Party Data)
This dataset is wholly owned by Welsh Government and supplied to NRW under an licence agreement. These dataset feed into the Assisted Areas which are places where government can offer additional financial support to businesses under European Commission state aid rules. Assisted areas are recognised in European state aid rules as being less economically advantaged places that would benefit from additional support for development. As a result, financial support from Government is permitted to undertakings, typically businesses, for new investments in these areas. Being located in an Assisted Area does not confer any right to financial assistance; rather, it allows the public sector to provide certain types of assistance if it wishes. These areas have been split into regional areas where the level of funding allocated is defined by the objective number.
