Biodiversity Species Audit for Wales (3rd Party Data)

A Species Audit produced by Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) as part of the Biodiversity Action Plan process to inform Local Biodiversity Action Planners of the whereabouts and status of selected species considered of particular importance for Wales. It is hoped that, in the longer term, analysis of these data will help identify other measures to address Species Action Plan targets. The purpose of this data capture is to create an audit of species data across Wales.

July 2003 Dataset The dataset holds a full distribution and species list (841 records) which includes but is not limited to, a variety of terrestrial plants, beetles and lichen data, across the vice counties in Wales. There is a profile of each species giving conversation concern, species name, distribution and status across Europe, Habitat, threats management and suggested conservation mechanisms.
