JNCC Conservation of River Macrophyte Database (3rd Party Data)

A copy of a Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) database used in the conservation of river macrophytes containing a collation of data on: Site Information, Survey Information, Plants, Physical Data, Fish and Invertebrate data. The database is managed by the Freshwater Lead Co-ordination Network, the data is owned by individual conservation agencies or even individuals and contains NRWs River Macrophyte data. The purpose of this data capture was to collate data on a variety of river sites across Wales. The database is not fully populated: some invert and fish sections have few records, though most of the coverage is reasonably comprehensive.

However, with a new standard method of river plant survey now being adopted by the UK conservation agencies (i.e. the LEAFPACS method), it is likely that less surveys will be added in future, and it may develop into more of a 'legacy' database. The publically available version of this database has some information redacted.
