Skomer Marine Conservation Zone ( MCZ ) - Echinus esculentus and other echinoderm species surveys
In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). The purpose of this data capture was to assess the abundance of an important habitat grazer. The dataset includes data related to the abundance data for common sea urchin Echinus esculantus, Spiny starfish Martasterias glacialis, Seven armed starfish Luidia ciliaris and Common sunstar Crossaster papposus. The data also contains the density of each species and depth band at which recorded and the presence of \bald urchin disease\". From 2007 the data includes a qualitative assessment of the larvae in plankton samples."
