Skomer Marine Conservation Zone ( MCZ ) - Meteorological Records Wooltack Point
In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. Weather data collected from the Coastguard lookout station on Wooltack point, Pembrokeshire from May 1993 onwards. The continuous weather data can be used for monitoring climate change and factors effecting species within the MNR.

Anemometer, wind vane, air temp, humidity, shaded and un-shaded solarimeter, net radiometer, barometric pressure and a tipping bucket rain gauge. April 2006 (26/04/06) – onwards: A Cambell Scientific ECN compatible weather station with a CR1000 measurement and control system with Switching anemometer, potentiometer wind vane, Temperature and relative humidity probe, 3 temperature probes (air ground and below ground), tipping bucket rain gauge, pyranometer, net radiometer, water content reflectometers and barometric pressure sensor.
