Intertidal Infauna of the Usk and Wye and Severn Estuaries 2004
As part of the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) intertidal Phase 1 mapping survey. This collection of sediment samples were completed to aid the identification of the biotope of the mud sediments in the two sheltered estuaries of the Usk and Wye, and the more dynamic environment of the Severn estuary. The data were used to inform the biotope mapping and identification of these estuaries for the CCW intertidal phase 1 mapping survey.

A surface sample of sediment, approximating to 10 cm x 10 cm, was sieved over a 0.5 mm mesh, in-situ and the retained material preserved in 4% formalin. The infaunal component was analysed by Emu Ltd in the laboratory.
