The line where the two SSSIs join almost follows a major path running from the car park to the beach 50 metres east of the RNLI buildings. The purpose of this data capture was to map the distribution of common toadflax (Linaria vulgaris) on and around poppit Sands, including number of plants, size of plants and numbers of leaves per plant. Count (zero) of Chrysolina sanguinolenta on and around these plants. The purpose of this data capture was to determine a method of monitoring the Nationally Notable leaf beetle Chrysolina sanguinolenta, a qualifying SSSI feature here, and carry out Common Standards Monitoring.
