Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. Sechi disc readings have been taken since 1992. Samples of suspended sediment have been collected from 2 sites since 1994 and turbidity probes / loggers have been used (with limited success) since 2002. The purpose of this data capture was to provide a long-term record of sediment load in the water column and water clarity for the site.
