Saltmarsh Features at Milford Haven 2002
This dataset is the results of the National Vegetation Classification (NVC) as a basis for community definition in the saltmarsh habitats at Milford Haven. The purpose of this data capture was to survey and map the saltmarsh units within the Milford Haven Waterway within the context of the National Vegetation Classification and to repeat the recording of the permanent quadrats established in 1996 to assess change in the floristics of these areas. Other purposes include the erection of a series of new permanent quadrats within the eastern section of the estuary as a baseline for the monitoring of future changes, and to record and map the distribution of notable species of the saltmarshes and their associated vegetation. This dataset has been amalgamate with saltmarsh data from across Wales to form the Phase 2 Saltmarsh Survey data for Wales.
