Saltmarsh Features of Morfa Uchaf Dyffryn Conwy Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) 1990-1994
National Vegetation Classification has been used as a basis for community definition in the saltmarsh habitats of the southern Conwy Estuary. The principal objective of the survey was to provide a suitable basis for Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) designation. Data collected by trained personnel, digitised by contractors and CCW staff.

No formal publication is associated with this dataset however a series of quadrat cards and floristic tables in paper format in North Region files indicate that NVC methodology was followed. CCW commissioned survey contributes to an NVC Saltmarsh survey collation (see 'part of' field). Survey was carried out in three discrete periods: July 1990, July - August 1993 and August 1994 - areas of the site were re-visited, so it is not possible to ascribe a specific date to individual community polygons, most quadrat recording cards indicated a specific date, and this has been retained in the data.
