The 700ha site incorporates the summit of Yr Wyddfa and includes three additional summits over 800m, it also includes 5 lakes. It is part of Yr Wyddfa National Nature Reserve managed by NRW. Measurements are taken of various meteorological, surface water and soil variables. The purpose of this data capture was to use the observed changes in physical variables to indicate the possible causes and consequences of environmental change in the terrestrial environment.
