The 700ha site incorporates the summit of Yr Wyddfa and includes three additional summits over 800 m, it also includes 5 lakes. Measurements taken for chemistry include atmospheric chemistry and precipitation chemistry. As well as the ECN monitoring protocols, other data collected at the site includes the results of ammonia monitoring taking place at Dyffryn Mymbyr, and monitoring of Ozone carried out at Marchlyn Mawr. The purpose of this data capture is to use the observed changes in chemical variables to indicate the possible causes and consequences of environmental change in the terrestrial environment.
