Remote Sensing Image Catalogue
Remote sensing is any method of collecting information about objects such as lakes, trees, fields and habitats 'from a distance'. This dataset contains a collection of around 300 archival images purchased by Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) to build up a resource of satellite remote sensing images of the Welsh countryside. The images have not all been collected for specific projects, however some tasking has taken place i.e. images requested from a particular satellite or from a particular date. Each image has metadata detailing image identification number, date and time, type of image, location etc.
