The river Wye is one of the largest rivers in England and Wales, and supports a range of rare and threatened habitats and species. The purpose of this data capture was to characterise the geomorphology of the watercourses surveyed and to identify key areas for monitoring, management and restoration, particularly in relation to the desired physical habitats for the SAC species. The area covered included 305 km of the River Wye and selected tributaries between Pant Mawr and Hay-on-Wye. Tributaries included Aran, Bachawy, Bachell Brook, Camddwr, Cletwr Brook, Clywedog Brook, Colwyn Brook, Duhonw, Dulas, Dulas Brook, Dulas Llynfi, Edw, Gwenlas Brook, Howey Brook, Ithon, Llaethydy Brook, Llymwynt Brook, Migrams Brook, Mithil Brook, Nant Bwch, Nant yr Offeiriad, rhiwiau Brook, Sgithwen Brook, and Triffrwd.
