A population survey of Gwyniad was recommended to be undertaken after failed attempts to establish a refuge population in 2003. Project to develop a generic protocol for the assessment of whitefish (Coregonus albula and Coregonus lavaretus) populations developed by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) to the Gwyniad of Llyn Tegid during July 2003 with the addition of the determination of oxygen and temperature profiles and Secchi depths. The protocol involved hydroacoustics and limited gill netting. This datasets contains the results of the gill netting survey only.
