European Union (EU) Habitats Directive (Council Directive 92/43/EEC) reporting under Article 17 reporting round 2013
Every six years, Member States of the European Union are required (by Article 17 of the Directive) to report on implementation of the Habitats Directive (Council Directive 92/43/EEC). The reporting format set by the European Commission requires a separate analysis for each species and each habitat in each biogeographic region which that country covers. This is the archive version of the databases and supporting evidence which was sent to JNCC added to the archive 15/04/2014. A live version of the databases are stored on a corporate drive and are in use by the relevant specialists. The purpose of this data capture was to meet the Natural Resources Wales' (NRW's) obligations under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive. This dataset covers all of Wales and covers the six year reporting period to 2013. All data was entered by specialists based on expert opinion and supporting data sources.
