Underwater photographs and video of aquatic flora, habitat structure and water transparency from Llynnau Cregennen.
The data supports a condition assessment of Llynnau Cregennen on the northern slope of Cadair Idris above Dolgellau. The dataset supports an assessment of both the water clarity and diversity of aquatic plants in the lake. The dataset is made up of a number of underwater video and photography surveys which were conducted by Marine Ecosol. This data was collected in order to have representative samples, images and video footage of macrophyte and faunal community assemblages within Llynnau Cregennenn.

Dive teams undertook underwater visual census surveys in the form of under photography and video surveys. Both transects and point sampling took place in perseved hot spots for macrophyte speices within Llyannau Cregennen. Under the EU Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC) and the Rio Biodiversity Convention, NRW was obliged to assess Llynnau Cregennen because it had previously been identified as ecologically important. 4 transects and 35 points were surveyed at various locations around Llynnau Cregennen, which is situated on the northern slope of Cadair Idris above Dolgellau.
