The Bangor University School of Ocean Sciences (SOS) surveyed five sites, two using fishing vessels and three using the Bangor University Research Vessel (RV) Prince Madog. In total sixty video tows were undertaken within circalittoral habitats; six of these had associated photographic stills, of which there were 570. The purpose of this data capture was to ground truth areas of the seabed around Cardigan Bay, Caernarfon Bay and Liverpool Bay. Confidence in this dataset is high as data was collected by scientists. Imagery was analysed using standard methods by competent and experienced surveyors.
