Mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru'n monitro safleoedd dŵr nofio yn Nghymru a ganfyddwyd o fewn Cyfarwyddeb Dyfroedd Nofio CE 2006/7. Cymerir samplau trwy gydol y tymor nofio o fis Mai hyd at ddiwedd Medi ac maen nhw'n cael eu dadansoddi am ddau baramedr: Escherichia coli ac enterococci coluddol. Cyflwynir dosbarthiad ansawdd dŵr nofio, fel arfer yn seiliedig ar bedair blynedd o ganlyniadau sampl, ar gyfer pob dŵr nofio ar ddiwedd pob tymor.
