Mae Meintiau Llifogydd wedi'u Cofnodi yn dangos ardaloedd lle ceir cofnodion o lifogydd yn y gorffennol o afonydd, y môr neu ddŵr wyneb. Daw'r cofnodion o nifer o ffynonellau tystiolaeth, gan gynnwys Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru, ei ragflaenyddion neu awdurdodau rheoli risg eraill.
Mae'n bosibl bod y patrwm llifogydd mewn ardal wedi newid a byddai llifogydd yn digwydd ynddi yn awr o dan amgylchiadau gwahanol. Yn ogystal, nid yw absenoldeb maint llifogydd wedi'i gofnodi'n golygu nad yw'r ardal wedi cael llifogydd erioed, dim ond nad oes gennym unrhyw gofnodion o lifogydd yn yr ardal hon ar hyn o bryd.

The data is updated every three months, but may not change quarter to quarter if there have not been any significant flood events in the preceding period.
Recorded Flood Extents are digitised in ArcGIS from a number of sources including surveyed flood events. Please note that this map shows flooding to the land and does not necessarily indicate that properties within the Historic Flood Map were flooded internally.
This dataset was updated in May 2017 to include attribution data on the flood events. This was previously made available in the product "Recorded Flood Outlines" (NRW_DS116226) which is no longer updated and no longer available.
This dataset was updated in April 2026 to include extra attributes:
• Flood Source – the source of the flooding e.g. Rivers, Sea, Surface Water
• Flood Cause – the cause of the flooding e.g. Blockage, defences overtopping etc.
• External Comments – any additional comments about the history of flooding
These extra attributes were published on DataMapWales in April 2026 and will be included on the FRAW map and FMfP viewers in the future once a project to update the technology has completed (date unconfirmed).
