Water Framework Directive (WFD) Lake Waterbodies Cycle 1 (2008 -2013) is a polygon Shapefile dataset containing Water Framework Directive (WFD) attributes that have been collated as defined for the implementation of the Water Framework Directive. Article 2, clause 5 of the WFD defines them as '...a body of standing inland surface water'. This dataset contains data related to the physical characteristics, risk, classification and proposed objectives that can be linked to water bodies by their unique identifiers.

Mae ‘Cyrff Dŵr Llyn y Gyfarwyddeb Fframwaith Dŵr (WFD)’ yn set ddata ofodol sy'n crynhoi priodoleddau WFD sydd wedi'u casglu fel y diffiniwyd ar gyfer gweithredu'r Gyfarwyddeb Fframwaith Dŵr (WFD). Mae Erthygl 2, cymal 5 y WFD yn diffinio cyrff dŵr llyn fel ‘…corff o ddŵr wyneb llonydd mewndirol’. Gellir cysylltu data ar nodweddion ffisegol, risg, dosbarthiad ac amcanion arfaethedig i'r cyrff dŵr gyda'u dynodwyr unigryw. Mae llynnoedd artiffisial a llynnoedd wedi'u haddasu'n cael eu cynnwys yn y set ddata: fodd bynnag, yn gyffredinol, dim ond llynnoedd dros 50 hectar a aseswyd dan y WFD heblaw am lynnoedd mewn ardaloedd gwarchodedig, lle defnyddiwyd trothwy o 5.0ha. Nid yw llynnoedd llai na'r trothwy hwn yn cael eu cynnwys oni bai bod ganddynt ddynodiad SoDdGA. Mae gan bob corff dŵr ddynodwr unigryw EA_WB_ID sy'n golygu y gellir ei gysylltu â phriodoleddau WFD.
