Felling Licence Applications

Anyone wishing to fell trees must ensure that a licence or permission under a grant scheme has been issued by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) before any felling is carried out or that one of the exceptions apply. The applicant would normally need to get permission from the NRW to fell growing trees. This is usually given in a Felling Licence or an approval under a Dedication Scheme.

This dataset provides a record of all approved Felling License Applications in Wales and type of license approved. The data available to the public under an Open Government Licence has personal information redacted.

Spatial data has been digitised against OS raster backdrops using 1:25,000 scale between 1997 and 2000, and 1:10,000 scale between 2000 and 2004.
