This survey was undertaken to determine whether the species remained present in the Ogof y Ci cave system and to assess the feasibility of establishing a Common Standards Monitoring (CSM) protocol for long-term population monitoring. The survey also revisited the existing CSM monitoring programme for Lesser Garth Cave to assess the condition of the spider population and the ecological condition of the cave habitat. Surveys undertaken in 2017 confirmed the continued presence of Porrhomma rosenhaueri at both sites, including the first record from Ogof y Ci since 1971. Results indicate that both cave systems support important cave invertebrate assemblages and remain significant sites for the conservation of this species.
