There is an accompanying User Guide to assist in the use of these datasets. A full list of datasets used and data limitations can be found in the project technical report. What the map shows: This map shows opportunities for bog restoration. The main opportunity for bog restoration is the restoration of existing bog habitat currently in degraded condition. Additionally, peat soils under coniferous plantations are highlighted, which can be a potential opportunity, particularly if the peat soil is in good condition. Existing bog habitat is shown for reference. Hard engineering solutions to flooding are not considered.
