An accompanying User Guide is available to support the use of these datasets, and a full list of source datasets and data limitations can be found in the project technical report. This dataset identifies areas where rapid-rotation woodland could be established to support biomass and timber production. Opportunity areas have been prioritised according to their suitability for productive woodland management and timber growth. Within the resulting opportunity area, sensitivities such as acid-sensitive catchments were identified. Constraints were then applied to exclude areas where woodland planting is unsuitable or undesirable due to existing land use, environmental considerations or legislative restrictions.
