The National Phase 1 Habitat Map may be out of date in some areas. All data gaps and limitations associated with the carbon sequestration opportunity mapping may also apply to this dataset. This map does not identify sensitivities to woodland planting, such as common land. Opportunity areas with sensitivities are shown in the carbon sequestration dataset, which should be consulted alongside this map when assessing the suitability of woodland planting proposals. Some processing was undertaken using the shapefile format. As a result, areas that are separate in the source data may, in some cases, appear to be connected in the rasterised output. Areas were categorised according to whether they had a high concentration of children, high levels of deprivation, or a combination of both factors.
