Gofod Tirlenwi Gwag sy’n Weddill yng Nghymru
Mewn trwyddedau gweithredwyr tirlenwi a ganiateir ceir amod eu bod yn rhoi gwybod faint o wagle tirlenwi (capasiti) sy'n weddill yn eu safleoedd ar ddiwedd y flwyddyn galendr. Mae’r wybodaeth hon yn cael ei defnyddio at ddibenion cydymffurfio ond hefyd gan y CE, y Llywodraeth, Awdurdodau Lleol a phartïon eraill â diddordeb, at ddibenion adrodd statudol a chynllunio gwastraff. Darperir data mewn metrau ciwbig a'i gydgasglu mewn set ddata genedlaethol. Dim ond tua 20 safle tirlenwi gweithredol sydd yng Nghymru.
Mae'r amcangyfrifon hyn yn seiliedig ar y gwagle diweddaraf a gofnodwyd gan safleoedd tirlenwi gweithredol a gallant fod yn gysylltiedig ag amcangyfrifon blaenorol lle nad yw data'r blynyddoedd cyfredol ar gael. Nid yw ansawdd amcangyfrifon a ddarparwyd gan weithredwyr tirlenwi wedi'u gwirio. Mae'r ffigurau a ddarparwyd gan weithredwyr safleoedd tirlenwi wedi'u haddasu gan CNC i gyfrif am golli gwagle 'gwaredu gwastraff' gwirioneddol oherwydd gofynion peirianneg a gorchuddio (tua 25%).
Nid yw CNC wedi cynhyrchu amcangyfrifon ar gyfer gwagle tirlenwi ar gyfer pob blwyddyn. Mae'r set ddata hon yn rhoi cipolwg ar y capasiti amcangyfrifedig diweddaraf ac mae’n gyfyngedig. Mae gennym y ffydd mwyaf yn set ddata 2018 gan fod amcangyfrifon diweddaraf y gweithredwyr wedi'u haddasu i ystyried colli capasiti oherwydd gofynion gorchuddio a pheirianneg. Ni chafodd y fethodoleg amgen hon ei chwblhau ar gyfer amcangyfrifon blynyddol blaenorol o wagle tirlenwi oedd yn weddill yng Nghymru. Bwriedir mabwysiadu'r dull amgen hwn ar gyfer diweddariadau yn y dyfodol.

These estimations are based on the latest reported void space by operational landfills and may relate to previous estimations where the current years data is not available. Estimations provided by landfill operators have not been quality assured. Figures provided by landfill operators have been adjusted by NRW to account for loss of actual ‘waste disposal’ void through engineering and cover requirements (approximately 25%).
NRW has not produced landfill void estimates for all years. This dataset is a snapshot of the latest estimated capacity and has its limitations. We have most confidence in the 2018 dataset because the latest operator estimates have been adjusted to take into consideration loss of capacity owing to cover and engineering requirements. This improved methodology was not completed for previous annual estimates of remaining landfill void in Wales. It is planned to adopt this improved method for future updates.

Landfill Operators provide NRW with estimations of remaining void space in their annual monitoring reports or waste returns. NRW extracts this information manually in a separate document in order to produce a collated summary for each site in one spreadsheet.
