Flood Risk Areas (Cycle 2)
Ardaloedd Perygl Llifogydd (Cylch 2)
The Cycle 2 Flood Risk Areas are those communities in Wales where most significant flood risks exist across all sources of flood risk. They were identified for the purpose of the second Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment under the Flood Risk Regulations 2009.
The threshold for communities at significant risk of flooding was set by Welsh Government with input from Natural Resources Wales and the Welsh Local Government Association (representing Lead Local Flood Authorities).
The Cycle 2 Flood Risk Areas were identified in December 2018 and replace the Cycle 1 Flood Risk Areas.
Ardaloedd Perygl Llifogydd Cylch 2 yw'r cymunedau hynny yng Nghymru lle mae'r peryglon llifogydd mwyaf sylweddol yn bodoli ar draws pob ffynhonnell perygl llifogydd. Cawson nhw eu nodi at ddiben yr ail Asesiad Cychwynnol o’r Bygythiad Llifogydd o dan Reoliadau Perygl Llifogydd 2009. Pennwyd y trothwy ar gyfer cymunedau sydd mewn perygl sylweddol o lifogydd gan Lywodraeth Cymru gyda mewnbwn gan Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru a Chymdeithas Llywodraeth Leol Cymru (sy’n cynrychioli'r Awdurdodau Llifogydd Lleol Arweiniol).
Nodwyd Ardaloedd Perygl Llifogydd Cylch 2 ym mis Rhagfyr 2018 ac maent yn disodli Ardaloedd Perygl Llifogydd Cylch 1.
