Arolwg o Sgil-gynhyrchion Gwastraff Adeiladu a Dymchwel yng Nghymru
Diben yr astudiaeth oedd darparu gwybodaeth am fathau, symiau, tarddiadau (yn ôl y sector Adeiladu a Dymchwel a'r rhanbarth daearyddol), a thynged (dull rheoli) gwastraff Adeiladu a Dymchwel a gynhyrchwyd gan fusnesau a'r sector cyhoeddus yng Nghymru yn 2019. Mae hwn yn arolwg annibynnol ac mae'n disodli'r data o'r arolwg diwethaf ar gyfer blwyddyn galendr 2012. Mae angen y wybodaeth hon am amryw o resymau.
Lefel y manylder ar gyfer cyfanswm y gwastraff a gynhyrchwyd yng Nghymru oedd +/- 16.7% ar hyder o 90%.
Mae cyfyngiadau’n bodoli o ran ansawdd yr amcangyfrifon a gynhyrchir ar gyfer canlyniadau pob arolwg. Er nad yw'r cyfyngiadau hyn yn newid y canlyniadau na'r data ystadegol, dylai defnyddwyr y data eu cadw mewn cof.
Casglwyd data o sampl gynrychioliadol o 508 o safleoedd busnes o wahanol sectorau a meintiau ledled Cymru rhwng mis Ebrill 2021 a mis Medi 2021. Cafodd y data ei grosio gan ddefnyddio data poblogaeth safleoedd busnes y Swyddfa Ystadegau Gwladol (SYG) i lefel ranbarthol a chenedlaethol yng Nghymru.
Roedd y fethodoleg a ddefnyddiwyd i ddatblygu'r matrics samplu a'r gwaith dilynol o grosio canlyniadau'r arolwg yn seiliedig ar arolygon Adeiladu a Dymchwel blaenorol yng Nghymru i sicrhau y gellid cymharu’r canlyniadau. Cafodd dyluniad y matrics samplu ei hun ei newid ychydig o'r hyn a ddefnyddiwyd yn 2012, drwy gyfuno is-sectorau Adeiladu Cyffredinol yn un sector.
Roedd y matrics samplu’n diffinio faint o safleoedd busnes yr oedd angen eu cyrraedd ar gyfer pob bricsen. Fe'i hadolygwyd ran o'r ffordd drwy'r arolwg i ymgorffori anghysondebau o ran sector neu faint cwmnïau a nodwyd yn set ddata wreiddiol y Swyddfa Ystadegau Gwladol (SYG) yn ystod y broses recriwtio, er mwyn adlewyrchu cyfraddau recriwtio gwirioneddol o fewn briciau.
Mae gwybodaeth am reoli gwastraff yn yr adroddiad yn ddibynadwy ar y cyfan ond mae cywirdeb y canlyniadau wedi'i gyfyngu i'r wybodaeth oedd ar gael i gynhyrchwyr a arolygwyd ar gyrchfannau terfynol eu gwastraff. Mae'r cywirdeb yn gyfyngedig oherwydd cymhlethdodau o ran llwybrau rheoli gwastraff ac anawsterau wrth gysylltu tynged derfynol yn ôl i'r ffynhonnell.

Data was collected from a representative sample of 508 business sites of differing sectors and sizes throughout Wales between April 2021 and September 2021. The data was grossed up using Office for National Statistics (ONS) business site population data to regional and national level in Wales.
The methodology used for development of the sample matrix and subsequent grossing of the survey results was based on previous Wales C&D surveys to ensure comparability of results. The design of the sample matrix itself was changed slightly from that applied in 2012, with the consolidation of General Building subsectors into a single sector.
The sample matrix defined how many business sites needed to be reached for each brick. It was reviewed part way through the survey to incorporate inconsistencies in company size or sector that were identified in the original Office of National Statistics (ONS) dataset during recruitment, in order to reflect actual business recruitment rates within bricks.
