The primary aim was to develop new monitoring protocols, based on vacuum sampling, for the two Nationally Rare spiders Heliophanus dampfi (IUCN Vulnerable) and Lasaeola prona (IUCN Endangered). No monitoring with the development of targets for these two species is known from other UK sites. Both species are qualifying features of Dyfi SSSI.
