The survey revisited sites previously surveyed in 2001 and assessed current distribution, population status and habitat condition. The report identifies continuing declines associated with the loss of early-successional dune-slack habitat, confirms the loss of B. calophyllum from its only known Welsh site, and highlights the importance of active dune processes and habitat management for the conservation of rare coastal bryophytes.
