Both sites are subject to crab shelter provision which has the potential to impact some of the designated features within each site. Mudflats and sandflats and marine invertebrates were identified as target features for the survey, due to their demonstrated sensitivity to the impacts of crab shelter provision impacts, which can lead to significant changes in species composition, reduced biodiversity, and altered habitat complexity. Monitoring was carried out at Bangor Pier and Deganwy sites between 20-23 August 2024.
