Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail
The data provides the location of the promoted route Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail, which is commissioned by Welsh Government and supported by the National Forest for Wales team in NRW.
The data comes from CAMS idox group who work with local authorities to get the raw data on the status of the route and they have broken the data down into route codes to take into account status and local authority. The trail will be marketed on Welsh Government website to promote the new route which will be launched early in March 2026.

The trail dataset was created through manual digitisation at a scale of 1:2,500. Additional supporting information was captured during field survey work undertaken at a comparable scale. Data capture and processing began in December 2025.
Following initial digitisation, the dataset was reviewed and edited to ensure positional consistency with the base mapping and the field observations. Standard quality checks were applied to confirm completeness, and ensure topology and alignment were appropriate for the mapped scale.
The dataset is suitable for mapping and analysis at or around 1:2,500. Users should be aware that precision beyond this scale is not guaranteed.
Welsh Government (WG) have requested the data and made it available through DataMapWales (DMW). Therefore NRW will not be publishing a copy to avoid duplication, queries about the version on DMW should be directed to WG.
