Site visits were carried out using species-appropriate survey techniques, including direct observation, habitat assessment and targeted searches of suitable habitat. Species records were identified in the field or verified through subsequent examination where necessary and compiled to assess current distribution, status and habitat requirements. The resulting dataset was used to support evidence gathering, conservation management and future monitoring of key insect species in Wales.
