Pembrokeshire Marine Species Atlas (PMSA)
This datasets acts as an atlas of marine species for Pembrokeshire including flora and fauna from the intertidal and sublittoral marine zones, funded by the former Countryside Council for Wales (CCW). The purpose of this data capture was to collate and make accessible all historical marine species data for Pembrokeshire between 1899 and 1998. The majority of records are from 1956 to 1998, and this dataset is now classed as static. This dataset is a collation of data from various CCW and third party sources (both published and unpublished) that cover Pembrokeshire. It is comprised of 79 surveys ( available to download on NBN Gateway, see resource locator). This is a historical collation which is not being updated. The data includes all records from the Dale Fort Marine Fauna survey plus additional data from subsequent and prior surveys. Data that are included in the Marine Nature Conservation Review (MNRC) database have been excluded from this dataset to avoid duplication. This dataset comprises of a number of surveys entered into Marine Recorder which have been packaged for dissemination onto the NBN Gateway.
