Safleoedd (Ffiniau Terfynol GNC) - Gwarchodfeydd Natur Cenedlaethol
Mae'r set ddata ofodol hon yn cynnwys ffiniau Gwarchodfeydd Natur Cenedlaethol (GNC) yng Nghymru. GNC yw'r enghreifftiau gorau o'n cynefinoedd bywyd gwyllt a'n nodweddion daearegol a gallant amrywio o ran maint o bum hectar i dros 2,000. Mae Gwarchodfeydd yn cael eu dynodi gan Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru (CNC) dan Ddeddf Parciau Cenedlaethol a Mynediad i Gefn Gwlad 1949, neu dan Ddeddf Bywyd Gwyllt a Chefn Gwlad 1981. Maent yn eiddo i neu'n cael eu prydlesu gan CNC, neu mae'r tir yn cael ei gadw yn nwylo corff cymeradwy, megis Ymddiriedolaeth Bywyd Gwyllt sirol. Mae gan bob gwarchodfa raglen waith ar gyfer rheoli nodweddion arbennig y safle. Mae pob un ohonynt yn Safle o Ddiddordeb Gwyddonol Arbennig (SoDdGA) hefyd a gallant ddarparu lleoliadau ar gyfer prosiectau addysgol, ymchwil a threialon rheoli. Mae angen caniatád i gael mynediad i rai ohonynt. Dynodir Gwarchodfeydd Natur Cenedlaethol dros sawl blwyddyn, gan ddechrau ym 1954 ac maent yn parhau.

This National Nature Reserve (NNR) final boundary dataset is compiled from the individual declaration maps that make up a single NNR. In some cases an individual NNR is made up of one declaration map, whereas others have many separate declaration maps that were registered over a number of years. Initially the individual, declaration maps were produced on paper at 1:10,000 or 1:2500 scales, then in later years created through GIS.
This dataset has been transferred to OS MasterMap 2006 in 2008. With the coming of GIS and its use in government departments and commercial companies mobilising the data in this way, advances the protection of these sites and the efficiency of decision making.
