Benthos of Cardigan Bay Candidate Special Area of Conservation (cSAC) 1998
This survey was intended as a follow up excercise to the RoxAnn ground truthing video drops carried out in 1997. This dataset comprises of the results of a survey carried out by Ivor Rees to ground truth RoxAnn data collected in Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation (SAC).

A grid of 18 stations across the outer half of the SAC boundary. A 0.1 m Day Grab was used, with full leads and stainless steel buckets. Methodology aimed to take 2 grabs at each station, the first being washed in a 1 mm nylon sieve to be treated as a quantitative sample, the second having a sediment sample removed and then washed as a non quantitative sample. Extra grabs taken where grab failed to bite or where stones in the jaws.
