Defining and mapping calaminarian grassland in mid-Wales (2013)
The 2012/13 reporting for the status of habitats under the EU Habitats Directive indicated a lack of essential data for H6130 Calaminarian grasslands of the Violetalia, calaminariae calaminarian grassland. This instigated the collection of data to identify areas of this type of habitat in mid-Wales. This dataset consists of botanical surveys conducted as a preliminary study associated with calaminarian grasslands in mid-Wales. The aim of this data collection was to gather information in order to identify lichen-rich forms of calaminaria grassland in mid-Wales with a view to obtaining information on extent of these areas in the future.
