Habitats Directive: Article 17 Terrestrial Habitats Cycle 2 (2012)

This is a spatial dataset collated as part of the Habitats Directive reporting cycle 2 for Article 17 terrestrial habitats. Article 17 required a report to be sent to the European Commision every 6 years follwoing an agreed format. JNCC collate theses on behalf of the UK Country Agencies, and this data was sent to JNCC for the collation. Article 17 reports are an assessment of conservation status of the habitat and species targetted by the directive. The assessment is made based on information on status and trends of species populations or habitats and on information on main pressures and threats. An important component of the Article 17 report is a map of habitat or species distribution mapped in 10x10 km grid.
