Marine Recorder Sample Point Data (Spatial Export)
This is a spatial export of all welsh sample points held within the Marine Recorder database. Not to be distributed outside NRW without the prior permission of the Master Reference Data Team. This is essentially a collation of data from many different marine biological surveys held within Marine Recorder. It contains all biotope instances and species data within the Wales Territorial Sea (12 nautical miles offshore), plus some instances beyond where relevant to boundaries such as the Dee and Severn estuaries.

Sensitive data must be kept confidential; general release is not permitted due to risk of harm to the environment or third parties. Sensitive data may only be released under an appropriate NRW Licence. Requests should be referred to NRW's Access to Information Officer. Data may be released freely if the sensitive records are removed in advance, or shown only at a coarser scale.
