North Pen Llyn Drop-Down and Towed Video Monitoring Survey (2008)
Repeated drop-down and towed video surveys were undertaken within Pen Llyn ar Sarnau SAC during 2008 as part of the Across Wales Drop-Down Video Monitoring programme. Surveys were carried out by Royal Haskoning under contract to CCW to support marine habitat monitoring and assessment. The programme aimed to improve survey design and implementation, harmonise SAC monitoring with Water Framework Directive monitoring where appropriate, and develop quality assurance and quality control procedures for drop-down video survey techniques. The survey contributed to the characterisation and monitoring of seabed habitats within the SAC.
